Eating Vegetarian in India is not only easy but delicious. I had a great ravioli with nutmeg and cheese at an Italian resturant at Khan’s Market.

Savoury Rice for Organic September

Chocolate Barfi

Maybe you aren’t a big nut person, or maybe dessert isn’t really dessert for you without chocolate, and so the Kaju Katli I posted a week ago did not appeal to you. Good news; there is still an Indian dessert for you! Chocolate Barfihas a great texture and that satisfying, chocolaty taste so many of us crave.

Kaju Katli

This cashew fudge, called Kaju Katli, is one of my favorite desserts. Cashews were brought to India by the Portuguese, and the area around Goa still uses cashew in their cuisine the most. The next time I am in Goa, I’m really looking forward to a big plate of these for dessert one evening.
